Narrative

PORT REPUBLIC, NJ – A collision on the Garden State Parkway Sunday night has tragically resulted in the deaths of three individuals from Monmouth County.

Investigators say a Kia and a Toyota were southbound on the Parkway shortly before 10 p.m. when the Kia struck the rear of the Toyota. The Kia then veered off the roadway and collided with a tree near milepost 44.6.

The Kia’s driver, Sabrina Kontos, a 24-year-old from Ocean Grove, and two out of her three passengers succumbed to injuries sustained in the accident.
