Narrative
SAYREVILLE, NJ – Two people died, and two others sustained serious injuries when a vehicle collided with a box truck in Sayreville on Tuesday.
The collision occurred in the afternoon near the Sayreville Water Department at the intersection of Bordentown Avenue and Waterworks Road.
The investigation indicates that for unknown reasons, the Nissan crossed over into oncoming traffic and crashed head-on into a box truck.
The collision killed the driver of the Nissan and a rear passenger. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victims.
Two others in the vehicle went to the hospital with critical injuries.
Nobody in the box truck sustained significant injuries.
