Narrative
JERSEY CITY, NJ – Two men and one woman died early Monday when two vehicles collided on a curvy road between Jersey City and Hoboken.
The accident occurred around 12:45 a.m. on Paterson Plank Road near Congress Street, which is southeast of Washington Park and southwest of John F. Kennedy Stadium.
Police say that a BMW SUV and a Kia sedan crashed into each other head on, killing the driver of the Kia, identified as 26-year-old Dylan Weidenfeld, and two passengers in the BMW. Authorities have not yet released the identities of the latter two victims.
Another passenger from the BMW was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, while the two front seat occupants sustained non-critical injuries.
Authorities have not yet commented on the cause of the accident, which remains under investigation. They ask anyone with information or tips regarding the crash to contact the Jersey City Police Department.
