Narrative
OLD BRIDGE, NJ – A woman died, and four people went to the hospital after a chain-reaction crash early last month in east-central Middlesex County.
The accident happened on Saturday, June 2nd, around 1:05 a.m. at the intersection of Route 9 and Ferry Road in Old Bridge.
Police say that the drivers of a BMW and a Ford Mustang were both speeding at over 100 miles per hour when the two vehicles collided. Several other vehicles then crashed into the BMW and the Mustang in the roadway.
A passenger in the BMW, identified as Kristina Godich, died at the scene of the accident.
The driver of the BMW and the four occupants of the Mustang went to the hospital with serious injuries.
Authorities say that both drivers face charges in the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
