Narrative
TINTON FALLS, NJ – A 29-year-old man and his 30-year-old female partner died Monday after their SUV struck a plow truck in Tinton Falls.
The incident occurred around 8 p.n. on the northbound side of the Garden State Parkway just north of the Asbury Park Toll Plaza, which is between Asbury Avenue and Park Avenue.
Police say that the couple’s Toyota SUV struck the side of a northbound plow truck when the latter vehicle entered a U-turn area.
Both people in the SUV died. Authorities identified the victims as Rabbi Eliyahu Neydavoud and Raizel Rothenberg. They say Rothenberg was pregnant at the time of the accident.
It is unclear at this time if anyone in the plow truck was hurt.
Police think snowy weather and icy roadways may have been a factor in the accident.
A full investigation is underway.
