Narrative
MANCHESTER, NJ – Several people sustained injuries when an elderly woman crashed her vehicle into a supermarket in Manchester on Friday.
The incident happened just after 1 p.m. at the ShopRite in Manchester Plaza, which is located at 1001 NJ-70.
The investigation indicates that an 89-year-old woman, identified as Patricia Janelli, drove her 2017 Toyota Camry into the front of the ShopRite, injuring several customers inside the building.
Medics transported Janelli and her female passenger to the hospital with non-critical injuries. Several customers also went to the hospital, though the severity of their injuries is unknown at this time.
