Narrative
TRENTON, NJ – Three dump truck drivers were hurt when their trucks collided along a busy roadway in Trenton on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 12:15 p.m. on Route 129 between Lalor Street and Cass Street, which is just east of South Riverwalk Park. This is near the New Jersey and Pennsylvania state line.
It’s unclear what caused the crash, but officials say the three trucks collided in a chain-reaction. One of the trucks rolled and spilled gravel across Route 129.
It’s not yet clear if the truck drivers required hospitalization for their injuries.
Officials closed both sides of Route 129 while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
