ELIZABETH, NJ – Two people died on Sunday morning in a two-vehicle collision along a busy roadway in western Union County.
The incident happened just before 6 a.m. at the intersection of East Grand Street and Spring Street, which is just southwest of Holland Playfield and Skatepark.
Police say that a vehicle ran the red light at the intersection and collided with a taxi, killing two passengers. Authorities have not yet released their identities to the public.
Officials arrested two occupants from the car that ran the red light. A third person ran from the scene.
