Narrative
HAMPTON, NJ – A 56-year-old man died on Monday when his vehicle collided head on with a tractor along the highway in Hunterdon County.
The incident happened at 7:44 a.m. on Route 31 near milepost 39, which is in Hampton.
Police say that for unknown reasons, the victim’s Subaru veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Mack tractor.
The driver of Subaru died at the scene. Police identified him as Christopher Jones.
Medics transported the driver and passenger from the tractor to the hospital with minor injuries.
