Narrative
A 29-year-old man died, and three people were injured when two vehicles collided on the interstate in Parsippany on Sunday. The incident happened early in the morning on the ramp from I-287 to I-80 westbound, which is near mile marker 43. Police say that a Lexus SUV struck a Chevy sedan as the latter vehicle entered I-80 westbound from I-287. The force of the collision threw the driver of the Chevy from his vehicle, and he died at the scene. Authorities identified the victim as Luis Ramirez-Cano. Medics also transported a passenger from the Chevy and a passenger from the Lexus to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the Lexus sustained minor injuries but did not go to the hospital. A full investigation is underway.
