Narrative
A 50-year-old cyclist died Wednesday night after a vehicle struck him at a busy intersection in Flemington. The incident happened around 6:34 p.m. near the intersection of Route 31 and New York Avenue, which is just southwest of Latham Field. The investigation indicates that a northbound Ford Taurus struck the eastbound cyclist as he crossed Route 31. Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash. Authorities identified the victim as Felix Santiago Reyes-Olea. Police say the driver of the Taurus remained at the scene of the crash. A full investigation is underway.
