A juvenile pedestrian sustained injuries last Tuesday evening when two vehicles struck him in the roadway in Manalapan Township. The incident happened around 5:45 p.m. near the intersection of Union Hill Road and Kristin Court, which is just northwest of the Pine Brook Golf Course. The investigation indicates that the youth entered the roadway outside of a designated crosswalk, at which point an unknown eastbound vehicle struck him before fleeing the scene. The victim continued walking into the westbound lane, where a 2014 Toyota Prius hit him. Medics transported the youth to the hospital with injuries to the head and legs. The driver of the Prius remained at the scene. A full investigation is underway. Anyone with information to report about the incident can contact the Manalapan Police Department.
